9 SECURITY BULLETINS WILL BE RELEASED BY MICROSOFT ON APRIL 9



Microsoft has given an advanced notifications on the release of 9 different Security Bulletins that will be released on 9th of April. It has listed all the latest security bulletins in a table on Microsoft's official site.

From the 9 security bulletins, Microsoft has rated the vulnerability of 2 of them as critical & the other 7 important. The first 2 bulletins which have been rated vulnerable, pertain to remote code execution issues.



The first bulletin's vulnerability affects Microsoft Windows & Internet Explore, while the second one affects Microsoft Windows.The other 7 bulletins affect Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server Software & Microsoft Office.

Early last month, Microsoft posted an advance notification on its Security TechCenter. The security bulletins addressed issues (severities ranging from Critical to Important) affecting a host of the company's software. The Redmond giant planned to release seven security bulletins for Windows and some programs, starting March 12.





The Bulletin 1 will address a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Windows and Internet Explorer.
The advanced notification rated this vulnerability as critical & it also requires a restart. The second one also addresses the same problem but affects Microsoft Silverlight. It has been rated as critical but may or may not need a restart.

The 3rd Bulletin discloses some information about Micorsoft Office. It is rated important & may require a restart. The bulletin 4 addresses an important elevation of privilage affecting both the Offices & Server suites. The fifth one points towards a denial of service afffecting Windows. It requires a restart. All the remaining bulletins addresses an elevation of privilege vulnerability which affects Micorsoft Windows, Office & the Server software.

Microsoft also listed security updates that users may need to install. It suggested that users should look up each program to check for any relevant security updates pertaining to that installation. Microsoft has also listed the severity rating of each security update.
