India Is Now The World's Third Largest Internet Population Beating Japan In The Race.........

Internet Users have been increasing exponentially since internet was invented, and now India has become the third largest Internet Users Population country with a tally of 73.9 million users approximately. This number has increased about 31% from last year.(Study : ComScore)

India is now behind two countries i.e. US and China. China  tops the rankings with 348.2 million users & US is second with 191.4 million users according to comscore studies
 India Digital Future in Focus 2013 released on Thursday. The three-fourth of the internet users in India are below 35 years of age, which makes it the youngest skewing online population among BRIC countries. In all the age groups, women in the age 34-44 years were the most active.

The study also showed that there is a big increase in users watching online videos with tally of about 54 million, about 27% more from last year. Also, Myntra .com leads the segment of retail websites, while Flipkart is at the second place. Jabong, Amazon sites and Snapdeal makes it to the top 5 in the list.

Despite of these increments, the social networking websites are still the favourite in India. Facebook is the top social network in India with a 28% traffic growth and reach of 86%. On an average, Indian users spend 217 min on Facebook every month. LinkedIn has emerged second top social networking site in India while Pinterest and Tumbler are the fastest growing networks.

Till March 2013, Asia-Pacific had a total of 644 million Internet users. China accounted for more than half of it with 54 percent, followed by India (11.5 percent), Japan (11.4 percent), and Southeast Asia (9.6 percent).
