2015 Hyundai Genesis Launched At Detroit Auto Show 2014; Experts And Critics At Bay............

Six years ago Hyundai launched the first model of Genesis which gave the company an upper hand in the Sedan class. And now the company has launched the 2015 Genesis, which itself is nothing less then a First class Sedan car and is capable of giving Hyundai an upper hand over others.

The new 2015 Genesis is introduced as a production car at the 2014 North American Auto Show in Detroit. This car is the second generation of the Genesis launched in 2008, which is rebuilt from the ground up.
The car has more than 50 percent high-strength steel which provides increased rigidity, and new sheet metal showing off Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. The new design language is described as combining elements that are fluid, modern and premium.

The customers are provided with the choice of two engines for the car. These two are same as the outgoing model:- a 5-litre V-8 (420 hp, 383 lb-ft) or the 3.8-litre V-6 (311 hp, 293 lb-ft). Both engines have been modified for improved low-end performance and will come paired to Hyundai's 8-speed automatic transmission.

The big news is the introduction of second-generation Blue Link interface, which was previewed at the recent 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. The new interface features a destination search powered by Google, a custom assistant app, Apple’s Siri-powered Eyes Free mode and Google Glass integration among its list of functions.

New for 2015 is optional all-wheel drive, to better match the product offerings from Germany and Japan. The Genesis will have a leg up on the competition with selectable settings for the all-wheel drive system, allowing the driver to elect to drive more economically under certain circumstances. The new Genesis also features Hyundai's HTRAC AWD system that can be set to Drive Mode or AWD Mode and distributes torque accordingly.

In 2008, the original Hyundai Genesis raised a lot of eyebrows and lot of attention. Let's see if the history repeats itself.......
