Mahindra Launches Centuro Rockstar with a Price Tag of Rs. 43,700, only.....

Mahindra launches a new variant or we can say a new version of Centuro in form of Centuro Rockstar, which in many ways much more desirable to the customer. The new 'Rockstar' has Mahindra's own MCi-5 curve (Micro Chip ignited 5 Curve) 110 cc engine, inside a double craddle. It is a single-cylinder, air-cooled engine and produces maximum power of 8.5 PS @ 7500 RPM (6.25KW), yields a maximum torque of 8.5 NM @ 5500 RPM and a four-speed gearbox..

The bike sports the ‘Golden Ribs’ like its elder cousin and has got longer seats. The main attraction
for bold statement lovers is the fact that the design has heavy use of bright red, black and gold colors. The bike has some car like features as flip opened key, six Pilot LEDs lights and big headlamp. Also the LED Brake Light look great and brings additional safety to the night riders.

New Centuro also has a “built-in anti-theft mechanism”, which shuts down the engine in case of theft. It also has a a system on its ignition key that enables the lights to be switched on at the press of a button. This would allow users to locate their bikes in a crowded parking lot.

The new 2014 Centure features 5-step adjustable, coiled spring, hydraulic front and rear suspension and front/rear 130 MM drum brakes. The company promises an ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) certified mileage of 85.4 kmpl, which it credits to the MCI-5 technology and patented lubricated system. The bike has alloy wheels and a handle bar mounted self-returning choke (ensuring that the cold starts are not a trouble).

The bikes overal weight is 120 kg, a 173 mm ground clearance and has a Fuel Tank capacity of 12.7 lites. It comes in two colour variants of blazing black and heavy metallic red with 5 year warranty as a standard feature. By the looks of the bike, it seems very promising and lets hope that Mahindra can just uplift their reputation through this bike which it completely owes to "Centuro"......
