Microsoft Banishes Nokia from It's new Lumia Smartphone Lumia 535

Eyeing the rising market of the smartphones, Microsoft has launched its new Lumia phone Lumia 535. The most shocking thing about the launch of this phone is that this Lumia phone does not bear the name of the iconic brand Nokia.

This doing of Microsoft may shock most of the world as till now we have not seen Lumia phones without the branding of Nokia. But this is not something that is not digestible.
After acquiring the Finnish telecoms company's devices unit earlier this year for $7.2 billion, it was just a matter of time to see Microsoft throw Nokia out. This all has been done by Microsoft to push themselves deep into the smartphone market. And this will make them quite a standout because the Lumia 535 is something that will be in the market for a long time.

Now, lets talk about the phone. Lumia 535 is available in both Single Sim and Dual Sim versions. Both the phones are priced at $136 (110 euro) excluding the taxes and carrier subsidies. The exact amount will come to light after the phone is in the market.

According to Microsoft, Lumia 535 will reach the 'key-markets' in November. While not sharing the complete list of countries in which the phone will be launched, it did share that China, Hong Kong, and Bangladesh will receive the devices first.

Microsoft is also calling this phone its "5x5x5" smartphone, as it features a 5" screen, 5 megapixel front and rear camera. The front 5 megapixel wide angle camera, same as Lumia 730 and 735, is something which favors the growing "Selfie" trend of the young generation. The rear facing camera also has flash support.
