Sponge Like Material can Charge your Smartphone In a Moving Car........

Let me ask you something! What will happen if your smartphone has no charge and you need it urgently? What will you do if you are on a road trip in your car when your phone is off? What if there is no charger with you to connect your smartphone with your car? What will happen then???
The answer will be in your car in the coming time. Yes, engineers have developed a way by which you can charge you phone by placing it anywhere in your moving car.

The device which will do so is called a mesoporous piezoelectric nano-generator. Such a device is being developed in the UW-Madison campus by assistant professor Xudong Wang and his fellows from Sun Yat-sen University in China and the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

"We believe this development could be a new solution for creating self-charged personal electronics," Wang said in a news release from UW-Madison Communications.
The device is made of a piezoelectric polymer known as polyvinylidene fluoride, or PVDF. Like other piezoelectric materials, PVDF generates electricity when subjected to mechanical strain.

The device works as a common polymer (PVDF) is etched by nano particles, resulting in tiny pores which act as a sponge which absorbs vibrational energy. The nano generator can be used as an integrated parrt of the phone's housing and will automatically convert the vibrational energy into electrical energy to charge phone's battery..........
